USI Won Two Awards in China Charity Festival
(2019-01-17, Shanghai) The 8th China Charity Festival was held on January 15th in Beijing. More than 1,000 enterprises were nominated for 15 awards including People of the Year, Image Award, Program Award, Group Award and Individual Award. USI (SSE: 601231) was honored with 2018 Model of Corporate Social Responsibility of Listed Companies, and the Million Tree Project (MTP) also won 2018 Charity Program Award.
Since 2013, USI have periodically released CSR reports to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable development over environment, society and governance every year and validate its information through the third party. The award shows public support to USI.
When it comes to environmental protection, MTP demonstrates the Company’s commitment to a green environment. Since 2013, USI have started to participate in MTP initiated by Shanghai Roots & Shoots for six consecutive years. On top of donation, the Company also started its own charity program, encouraging its employees to make effort to improve the situation of climate change. Some employees were also chosen as volunteers to plant trees in Inner Mongolia and Ningxia. Statistics show that until 2017, the enterprise and its employees have donated forests of 8.49 hectares, which will increase with more investment in the future.

Founded in 2011, China Charity Festival titled “Charity” and jointly initiated by NIULIWEN MEDIA and other domestic media is designed to promote charity and build a platform for parties to carry out in-depth dialogues and cooperation. It has already become a remarkable event of this kind after eight years’ exploration and practice.
