USI Twice Recognized with Industry Top 1% & Top Score in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2024
(2024-07-18, Shanghai) On July 16, USI was honored with the Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components Industry Top 1% and Industry Mover distinctions for a second year in a row in the launching ceremony of Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2024, Seizing Opportunities to Drive a Sustainable Future – S&P Global Sustainable Symposium held in Beijing. With the industry’s highest ESG score of 90, USI received the global Top 1% recognition and was included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024, released in February.
The Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2024 is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment 2023. After strictly screening 1,700 Chinese companies that participated, only 129 were included in the Yearbook. Of these, 12 received the Top 1% S&P Global ESG Score (China) distinction, and 29 were awarded an Industry Mover distinction.
For years, USI has aligned with the United Nations SDGs and achieved sustainable operations through its four strategies: Low Carbon, Circular, Inclusive, and Collaborative. We support the Paris Agreement and have integrated the TCFD and CDP frameworks into our corporate strategy by setting long-term goals of using 100% renewable energy in operations by 2035 and Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2040. Going further, USI also made a Biodiversity and No Deforestation Commitment and introduced biodiversity risk assessment processes to ensure a balanced coexistence with the ecosystem, aiming to achieve our ultimate long-term goal of 2050 Net Positive Impact.
