USI America Inc. and Agile Robots Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Forge Strategic Partnership in Humanoid Robotics
(2026-08-19) – USI America Inc. (USI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the leading German intelligent robotics company Agile Robots (Agile Robots SE). Under this agreement, the parties intend to collaborate on humanoid robot and cobot products and the upgrading of our electronics manufacturing production lines. The partnership will jointly evaluate the application of Agile Robots’ humanoid robotics and solutions within USI’s global manufacturing service network, while exploring USI’s support to Agile in the development and mass production of robotic products, and associated components.
As a leading global provider of electronic design and manufacturing services, USI brings decades of industry experience. As a subsidiary of ASE(NYSE: ASX, TWSE: 3711), USI has established strong competitive advantages in product design, PCBA, system assembly, miniaturization and SiP modularization. With manufacturing facilities across Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa, USI remains committed to advancing manufacturing automation and the deployment of collaborative robotics across its production lines. Agile Robots is a pioneering robotics company possessing full-stack R&D capabilities encompassing both software and hardware for next-generation intelligent robotics. Leveraging core technologies in robotic perception, decision-making, force control, computer vision, operating systems, and AI deep learning, Agile Robots has built comprehensive technical capabilities that empowers industrial operations smarter, more flexible, and more efficient. Its solutions have been successfully deployed in real-world scenarios across consumer electronics, automotive, and industrial sectors.
Mr. Jeffrey Chen, Chairman and CEO of USI, stated: “Agile Robots’ capabilities in AI-driven robotic solutions including AGV/AMR, cobots, humanoid robots, and physical AI platforms are highly complementary to USI’s strategic direction of advancing production line automation. This collaboration marks the starting point of our joint exploration in smart manufacturing and humanoid robot component manufacturing. By integrating our respective strengths, we aim to deliver more efficient and scalable mass-production solutions for both organizations.”
Rory Sexton, Executive Director at Agile Robots stated: “As a global leader in electronic manufacturing services, USI represents an ideal validation ground for training and optimizing the industrial application as well as the scalable mass production of humanoid robots. Also, given the confined space within a humanoid robot, USI’s SiP and miniaturization capability helps play a critical role in the design and realization of our key components. Through this partnership, we look forward to leveraging Agile Robots’ humanoid robot hardware and full-stack technological capabilities to help enhance USI’s automation, while simultaneously gaining valuable feedback to improve the engineering and cost-efficiency of our own products.”
Through close collaboration and the integration of complementary capabilities, this “Robotics Company × Electronics Manufacturing Services Provider” partnership is expected to create a mutually empowering closed-loop ecosystem, spanning robot/component development, manufacturing validation, and scaled production line deployment, and ultimately enhancing delivery efficiency across the companies’ operations.
