Literature Has No Boundary - USI Continuously Supports The Chinese Literary Prize for Global Youth
(2021-09-27 Nantou) USI (SSE:601231) focuses on the development of cross-strait youth and has enthusiasm for literature education in addition to sports. 2021 is the 14 consecutive years that USI-TW sponsored the Chinese Literary Prize for Global Youth. On September 25th, President Office & USI-TW OPS VP Spencer Chen presented in the 39th Chinese Literary Prize for Global Youth virtual awards ceremony.
Even though the COVID-19 pandemic has not yet ceased, literature remains going to lasted forever. The organizer received 1,150 submissions this year, and 420 schools participated in this campaign around the world. Comparing with last year, the number of articles was 152 more. Besides Taiwan, China, Malaysia and Singapore, there were also students from Indonesia and Korea who contributed and even won awards this time. The profile proves that literature has no boundary. In addition, the young creators have showed their passion, create and broader perspective in gender identity, political economy, climate change, etc. by words.
Regarding COVID-19, the virtual awards ceremony was adopted this year. There were seven well-known literary predecessors including Lin Taiman, Liao Yuhui, Shiu Wenwei, Xiao Xiao, Lu Hanhsiu, Jiao Tong and Li Changqing were invited to the virtual ceremony. They encouraged students to continue to literary creation. USI will continue to support youth development activities and devote itself to society, striving to become the model of corporate citizen.
