USI Recognized as Industry Top 1% & Industry Mover in the Inaugural S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2023
(2023-06-30, Shanghai) On June 28, USI was awarded Industry Top 1% and Industry Mover in the inaugural launch of the Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2023 event Creating Advantages, Seizing Sustainable Development Opportunities – S&P Global Sustainable1 Sustainability Seminar. With a ESG score of 80 in the Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components industry group, USI has also been included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023, released in February, fully distinguishing our sustainable development among industry peers.
The Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2023 is based on the global edition of the Sustainability Yearbook. After strictly screening 1,590 Chinese companies that participated in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment 2022 considered for inclusion, only 88 were included, of which 12 received the Top 1% S&P Global ESG Score (China) distinction, and 27 were awarded with a special Industry Mover distinction.
For years, USI has been actively working towards the UN SDGs. We strive to pursue corporate sustainability and create a win-win future for both our customers and suppliers through the four dimensions of our Sustainability Strategy: Low Carbon, Circular, Collaborative, and Inclusive. In the face of recent challenges such as COVID-19, war, political tensions, and extreme weather events, we mitigated the impact by diversifying supply chain sources, pursuing sustainable procurement, and setting policies such as the Conflict Minerals Sourcing Policy, continuously improving our supply chain resilience. In addition, USI is committed to reducing carbon emissions and saving energy through investing in green design R&D, innovative technology, and Industry 4.0 projects. We plan to expand our smart manufacturing capabilities globally and provide the best possible outcomes for our stakeholders.
