USI Sustains Industry Top 1% in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China)

(2026-05-22, Shanghai) When commitment and promises transition to capability and implementation, the distance between the two becomes increasingly evident. Against the backdrop of rising regulatory pressure, sharper stakeholder scrutiny, and calls for consistent disclosure, with a total score of 91, USI once again stood out in the Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components industry, earning S&P Global China Top 1% ESG score distinction for four years running, proving that sustainability at USI is internalized as a core capability.

On May 21, USI was invited to the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China) Distinction Ceremony in Shanghai. The Yearbook, based on the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment, evaluated nearly 1,800 Chinese companies under increasingly strict standards. Only 193 made the cut, with 36 receiving the Top 1% distinction.

USI views sustainable development as a source of long-term resilience. Clear governance keeps ESG anchored in strategy, decisions, and daily operations. Oversight starts at the Board, moves through management, and runs across functions. This structure allows the company to respond fast to climate risk, supply chain disruption, and industry change, and turn pressure into advantage.

To reduce its environmental impact, USI pushes its climate strategy with focus and discipline. It advances energy transition, optimizes processes, and ties decarbonization to growth. The company is also pushing carbon reduction beyond its own operations, helping suppliers build decarbonization capability—requiring third party verification of greenhouse gas inventories and product carbon footprints, and encouraging participation in the CDP Supply Chain program. The result is deeper, more effective collaboration. Also, USI systematically manages nature-related risks, integrating biodiversity and natural capital considerations into decision making to balance operational efficiency with ecological resilience.

To contribute to society more broadly, USI invests where it matters most: its people. The company builds capabilities, protects health and safety, and fosters diversity and inclusion. The goal is simple: to create a workforce that can learn, adapt, and act.

Governance holds it all together. USI raises the bar on disclosure and stakeholder engagement. It treats the supply chain as an extension of governance, embedding human rights, labor standards, and business ethics into supplier management. Strong compliance, internal controls, and risk processes support better decisions in an uncertain world.

At the forum that brought together China's sustainability leaders, USI took more than recognition away. The message was clear: consistent execution, credible disclosure, and steady year on year progress now define leadership. USI will keep moving. Powered by technology, the company will accelerate its low carbon transformation, strengthen its global footprint, and work with partners across industry and society to create lasting value—and real impact.
