USI Thrice Recognized with Industry Top 1% in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2025
(2025-05-16, Shanghai) USI was honored with the Top 1% distinction in the Electronic Equipment, Instruments & Components Industry at the ESG Investing and a Sustainable Future – S&P Global Sustainable1 Symposium in Shenzhen. Achieving the highest ESG score of 90 in the industry sector, the company has proudly received this accolade for three consecutive years.
The Sustainability Yearbook (China) 2025, based on the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment 2024, evaluated 1,662 Chinese companies. Of these, only 164 made the cut for the Yearbook, with 18 earning the prestigious Top 1% S&P Global ESG Score (China) distinction.
USI embarked on its sustainability disclosure journey in 2010 and has maintained this commitment for 16 years. Throughout this period, USI has developed an industry-leading ESG management system, consistently focused on ESG strategies and practices, seamlessly integrating sustainable development principles into its business decisions and operations.
In response to the global focus on carbon reduction, USI began participating in the CDP in 2022 and achieved a B rating for both climate change and water resources in 2024. Additionally, USI was honored as one of the 65 Industrial Carbon Peaking Frontrunners at the 3rd China Carbon Peaking Symposium. These accolades affirm our commitment to carbon reduction. In 2024, the company published its inaugural Climate and Nature Risk Management Report, detailing the risks and opportunities related to climate change and nature, along with our strategic responses and measures.
Committed to contributing to a sustainable environment, USI has implemented various energy-saving and carbon reduction measures. Our Facilities in Mainland China, Mexico, and Vietnam use 100% renewable energy. The solar panels installed in Nantou and Huizhou Facilities have produced 5,580 MWh of power. As part of our green and eco-design product management strategy, we track our products' carbon footprint and ecological impact and help our customers to produce energy-efficient products. Looking ahead, USI aims to achieve 100% renewable energy usage at all global manufacturing facilities by 2035 and Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2040.
As a responsible corporate citizen, USI champions its strategic pillar of Collaboration and Inclusivity, fostering sustainable relationships with stakeholders. In 2024, the company invested CNY 9.55 million in social activities and external initiatives, with 968 employees contributing 4,844 hours of volunteer service. USI systematically enhances professional skills and capacity through diverse training programs and internal education courses. By 2024, 419 employees had earned high school, vocational, or university degrees. We also offer equity incentive plans and annual bonuses to reward exceptional performance, attracting and retaining top talent.
