USI wins the award of Outstanding Enterprise at the 2nd China (Shanghai) Listed Companies' Corporate and Social Responsibilities Summit
On December 22, the 2nd China (Shanghai) Listed Companies' Corporate and Social Responsibilities Summit and the Press Conference for the Blue Paper on Corporate and Social Responsibilities of Listed Companies in Shanghai (2016) was held at Shanghai Financial Information Center. At the summit, the awards ceremony celebrating outstanding listed companies in Shanghai for their performance of corporate and social responsibilities and themed "Reform, Responsibilities and Actions" was held, and the Blue Paper on Corporate and Social Responsibilities of Listed Companies in Shanghai (2016) was officially released.
According to the Committee of the Summit, USI, with the belief in achieving great things through small efforts, is committed to developing eco-friendly new products to significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, balancing environmental protection and business value for corporate development, and "creating a high-quality and sustainable living environment for generations to come". With a comprehensive rating of 92.5 points, USI was considered "Excellent Enterprise - Five-Star Excellence" at the awards ceremony celebrating outstanding listed companies in Shanghai for fulfillment of corporate and social responsibilities, and supervisor Huimin Liu received the award on behalf of the Company.
In accordance with the principles of "Openness, Fairness and Impartiality", the awards committee reviewed and assessed listed companies' performance of social responsibilities from multiple perspectives, and comprehensively rated all candidates through public voting, media voting, and experts' evaluation. In addition to USI, SIPG, Baosteel, SAIC, and Fosun Pharma also won the awards of "Excellent Enterprise" at the summit. Jiangying Shen, Vice President of XINHUANET Co., Ltd., Guobiao Ye, General Manager of China Financial Information Center, Haiping Pan, Vice President of Shanghai Branch of Xinhua News Agency, Hefu Li, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Federation of Economic Organizations, and Heng Qian, Secretary General of the Listed Companies Association of Shanghai presented the winners with the awards.
