Green Product (Clean Technology) Design
USI has been devoted to green promotions, and to the pursuit for a harmonious conversation between and co-existence of our environment and humanities. To ensure our operations comply with international environmental protection regulations and customers' standards, we have established good communication channels with our suppliers and customers; and implemented a series of preventive green management measures from the procurement of raw materials to the customer-end afterward services. The objective thereof is to minimize negative impacts of our product and production to the environment.
In accordance with international regulations, customer requirements and environmental protection trends, USI conducts comprehensive, systematic, and transparent management and control of product design, material procurement, product manufacturing, transportation, packaging, sales and recycling every year to achieve the reduction and exemption of hazardous substances (HSF) goal.

USI products can be roughly divided into four categories: Computer and Sever, Communication, Consumer, and Industrial & Automotive. Electronic products have developed towards light, thin, short, low power consumption, interconnected, and intelligent learning. In addition, due to the significant increase in the bandwidth of 5G networks, the development of networks and smart devices has been promoted. Digitize the information of things and things, and form a large-scale connection network through reading, transmission, and processing, which is used in logistics and transportation, industrial manufacturing, health care, smart environment, and urban facilities.
USI looks forward to the future, uses 5G laboratory measurement verification, provides the best miniaturized antenna design for smart mobile devices, and promotes electronic products for computers, communication electronics, wearable electronics, industrial electronics, electric vehicles, and links to cloud server data Storage and computing, integrate all product technologies to form an Internet of Things network, and develop market opportunities with low consumption and low pollution with clean technology to meet customer product needs.
USI can quickly respond to changes in international environmental protection laws, directives, and clients' requests, and integrates and stipulates" Standards for Green Environmental Protection Products" to control hazardous substances in electronic components and products. The design and R&D personnel has ecological design capabilities for their products which according to the Design for Environment (DfE) operating procedures, USI not only takes potential environmental impacts under consideration when designing a product, and to meet the requirements of Energy Star and ErP, as to meet a range of environmental factors, such as material use, energy saving and CO2 reduction, efficient use of water resource, pollutant emission, resource wasting and recyclability, in order to minimize negative impacts to our environment during the product life cycle.
Allows our environmental-friendly products to be sold around the world and ensures that the green products we manufacture, and sell are in compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and requirements around the world in terms of environmental protection, while satisfying customers' needs and the development trends of environmental protection, and following company's standards for internal control. A green product with clean technology needs to comply with two or more green product ecological design standards to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental pollution. In 2021, green product revenue accounted for 32.8% of USI's total revenue. In the future, we will continue to invest in green product research and development and increase the proportion of green products.

In our 2021 product energy-saving evaluation, USI's eco-design products saved 95,754 MWh, equivalent to reducing 46,888 metric tonnes of CO2 and accounting for 37.3% of USI's total revenue.
Investigate the carbon emissions of products from raw material acquisition, manufacturing, use and disposal in a life cycle manner, and converted into the sum of carbon dioxide equivalents.
Since 2017, USI has continued to review the carbon footprint data of a major product every year and verified it through a third-party to disclose the performance of greenhouse gas reduction, and further identify the key factors of carbon emissions through the report results to achieve the reduction purpose.
